Mouth watering momo ..:)
I guess, we all know about nepal. It is a landlocked country with mountains. This country is famous around the world for mount Everest and also scenic beauty. It is also famous for Momo . A traditional nepali food made with simple flour-water dough and filled with different mixture filling. It is also known as dumplings. Here is a image of Momo which i found in website of a nepali restaurant which i am going to introduce to you today....

| MOMO My introduction to momo started with one of my friends who's from nepal. Once we went out for dinner and my friend decided to try momo, which she of course was a fan of and as always i am into trying new foods so i was convinced as well. So we went to Little nepal a cafe + restaurant in Burwood. We ordered chicken mono which is basically dumplings with chicken mince, diced onion and himalayan spice mix and homemade tomato puree dipping sauce. It so tasty that i could not resist ordering once more. And the smell is very nice and mouth watering. After that dinner i am also a fan of momos. It was very cheap in price, per plate with 6 pieces is only $ 7.50 and the good news is you can also get mono stiffed with vegetables and buffalo. So vegetarian out there no need to worry it tastes as good as chicken or buffalo one. You can also check this restaurants eatability in www.eatability.com.au. |

If you like 'Pad thai', You should try 'Drunken noodle'!
It's obvious that Pad thai is popular with everyone. I assume that if you have been to Thai restaurant, you've definitely had Pad thai some time. But, there is another one very similar to Pad thai, called 'Drunken noodle'.
Drunken noodle is a stir fried noodle, also known as' Pad Kee Mao'. When I eat out, I tent to stick to a dish
that I usually order. So I used to eat only 'Pad thai' at Thai restaurant. But, my lovely thai friend introduced 'Drunken noodle' to me and now I fell in love with it.
Although, the way to cook Drunken noodle varies depending on a restaurant, it is basically made with broad rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, meat, tofu, been sprouts, and many other vegetables.
Like Pad thai, Drunken noodle is on the menu at every Thai restaurants. So, if you started to get sick and tired of Pad thai, I suggest you to try Drunken noodle. It will give you a special distinctive taste but with the same ingredients :)

Have you heard of the traditional Korean food, called 'Kimchi'? Some of you are already familiar to Kimchi.
Kim chi is well known as a healthy food. So, I would like to introduce the recipe to those who have never heard of or have never tried Kimchi.
Main Ingredients :
1 head napa cabbage (about 2 kg), 2 cups sun-dried sea salt, 2l water
Filling ingredients: 200g Korea radish, 50g small green onion, 50g water parsley
Spices :
Seasoning spices: 5 cups glutinous rice powder (1 cup water to make the thickener), 1/2 cup chili flakes, 1/2 fine chili powder, 1/2 cup anchovy sauce, 4 tbsp salted baby shrimps, 2 tbsp sugar, 4 tbsp crushed garlic, 1 tbsp minced ginger, 4 tbsp onion juice
These recipe will give you a basic idea of making Kimchi. But, it's more complicated to explain it in a written-text.

Instructions
- Trimming cabbages: Remove discolored outer leaves on the napa cabbages and trim the head. Put a deep slit into the head and split lengthwise into two with your hands. Then halve them again into quarter-size cabbages.
- Brining cabbages: In a large bowl, mix water and 1/2 cup of salt to make slightly salty water. Soak the cabbages in the salt water; sprinkle more salt around the head; and submerge in the salt water to brine evenly.
- Well-brined cabbages put in cold water three times; and drain them with the head part pointing upward on a wicker for about an hour.
- Trimming filling ingredients: Julienne the radish and rinse the small green onions and the water parsley thoroughly and cut into 3-cm pieces.
- Making thickener: Mix glutinous rice powder with water and cook over medium heat. When the mix starts to make bubbles, reduce to low heat and leave for 1-2 minutes. Turn off the gas and let it cool.
- Making seasoning paste: Mix the thickener, anchovy sauce, salted baby shrimps, sugar, crushed garlic, minced ginger, onion juice, and chili powder. Mix the seasonings with radish strips and pieces of small green onions and water parsley. Set aside for about 30 minutes.
- Spread the seasoned fillings between each well-drained leaf. Fold the cabbages in half and wrap around into firm bundles with the outermost leaf to keep the fillings packed between the leaves.
- Stack the cabbage kimchis neatly in an airtight container and put on the lid to minimize air contact. First let it ripen in room temperature (15 degrees Celcius) for about three days. Then store in a refrigerator between 0-5 degrees Celsius.
These recipe will give you a basic idea of making Kimchi. But, it's more complicated to explain it in a written-text.

Do you ear Just normal Yogurt?? I eat FROZEN YOGURT!
It was my first time to try Frozen yogurt. After dinner, I usually have a cup of tea or just normal ice cream as a dessert. When I first heard of Frozen yogurt ice cream, I thought the taste would be weird and was reluctant
to try it. But, after all, my friend dragged me to the shop and I had unexpected taste of yogurt.
Of course, If you eat 'only Frozen yogurt', the taste would be the same or funny. However, if you try it with
snacks or cereals, it will definitely improve the taste. Here is the frozen yogurt I had last time.
http://yogurberry.com.au/?p=stores
The shop is located in Chatswood. The benefit of the shop other than many yogurt ice cream shop is that we can choose the amount of the ice cream and pay for it based on the amount. (so it coust 20c per 10g). It also
has 3 ~ 4 different tastes so that we can choose 2~3 flavours at the same time.
If you are going to have lunch or dinner in Chatswood, you know now what you are gonna have for dessert!
The location: Shop 23, 445 Victoria Avenue Chatswood 2067
The price:$5~$10

Korean-Style BBQ at Chatswood
Me and my girl friend went out for dinner in Korean restaurant called Goldmart at Chatswood. Frankly it is not really restaurant, it is Korean grocery. They run grocery (including butcher’s) with small outside restaurant. They provide barbecue facilities, so then you can buy meat from there then you can barbecue. We had pork belly and some vegetable. Furthermore, you can also have Soju with it which is Korean Vodka. With Soju and pork belly are best combinations. The cost of these less than $20 (pork belly: $11 – 12, vegetable: $3, Soju $5). Try it!

Ivanhoe in Manly
I went to Manly during Easter holidays. Although, I've lived in Manly for almost a year, I didn't try many
restaurants so it was a good chance to taste a restaurant that I've always wanted to try, called Ivanhoe.
From reviews of my friends, it has a good reputation for the quality and taste considering the price of meals, and 'most of all $10 steak shop'. Then I thought after I had a meal at the restaurant that the reputation is not false.
When I first came in the restaurant, I felt that the atmosphere is very nice, not too noisy to talk, not too quite, which is just what I want. I looked at the menu and they serve not only steaks, also various other meals so the
choice is not limited to a steak. (but most of customers tend to have a steak because of the cheap price!)
I had this nice meal and a couple of beers with my friends
I highly recommend you to go with your friends and enjoy your meal and have a good time!
Unlike other fancy restaurants, you can have a steak at a reasonable price with the same quality. So try next time when you go to Manly!
- The location: 27 the corso Manly
- Opening hours: From 12pm in lunchtime. From 5:30pm in dinner time
- Price range: $10~$20
Location:
Manly NSW 2095, Australia
